We do have strict guidelines for dog owners and they very rarely present a problem. We do ask all dog owners to adhere to these guidelines (failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave without compensation).

- Dogs must be under strict control at all times while on the property.
- Any fouling of lawns etc. must be cleaned up without delay.
- The owner must bring the dog?s bed or basket for sleeping in.
- Dogs must not be left alone in the property.
- Dogs must not lie on beds or chairs, and hair must be cleared up before departing.

There are a number of National Trust managed cottages in the village as well as a choice of pubs and shops. The purpose-built viewing platform at Claife Heights is just five miles from the property from where visitors are able to enjoy unrivalled views across to Lake Windermere where pleasure boats run to-and-fro taking visitors between the towns of Ambleside and Bowness. On entering the bungalow via the hallway guests will first come to the welcoming lounge with its warming colour scheme cosy wood burner comfy sofas TV DVD CD and iPod dock which make this a wonderfully relaxing space to return to at the end of a busy day. The spacious kitchen/diner has a table seating four beyond which the well-equipped kitchen area has an oven hob fridge/freezer microwave and dishwasher whilst the washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the nearby utility room. Door from the kitchen/diner lead out to the garden allowing guests to easily serve alfresco drinks or meals. There are two bedrooms a master double with en-suite shower and WC and a zip-and-link twin room which can be made up as a king-size upon request. The bathroom benefits from having both a roll-top bath as well as separate shower cubicle with WC. Outside there is a pretty garden with both lawn and patio areas with outdoor furniture from which to enjoy the views. There is off-road parking for two cars and secure bike storage available.
