If you are thinking of taking a puppy this MUST be declared to holidaycottages.co.uk at the time of booking and will need to be specifically authorised by the owner.

Sometimes it will state 'by arrangement', if so, the breed or size of dog will need to be checked with the owner of the property.

We do have strict guidelines for dog owners and they very rarely present a problem. We do ask all dog owners to adhere to these guidelines (failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave without compensation).

- Dogs must be under strict control at all times while on the property.
- Any fouling of lawns etc. must be cleaned up without delay.
- The owner must bring the dog?s bed or basket for sleeping in.
- Dogs must not be left alone in the property.
- Dogs must not lie on beds or chairs, and hair must be cleared up before departing.

The village of Firfield itself is lined with pretty cottages and a 13th century church Fantastic central location for Shakespeare s Country and the beautiful Cotswolds About the property This property lies in the pretty village of Firfeild which is lined with chocolate-box cottages and a 13th century church with an early English chancel still present. There is a lovely local pub called The Merrymouth or a little further down the road a gastro pub in Nether Westcote. The neighbouring village of Idbury high up on a ridge looks out over the Evenlode Valley just five miles from Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold. This ancient town of Burford known as the gateway to the Cotswolds offers an excellent selection of shops pubs and restaurants to choose from and the fascinating history around the town is well worth exploring. This is a fantastic central location right in the heart of Shakespeare s Country. Arriving at the welcoming entrance hall with stable door you come to a bright and sunny lounge/diner where you can snuggle up on the cosy window seat with a good book from the fully stocked bookcase or perhaps play one of the many games available and share a glass of wine or two. There is a TV DVD and CD player in here. If you decide to stay in for the evening there is a lovely country kitchen well-equipped with pretty crockery and a solid wooden table and chairs for four in the dining room. All the mod cons are available for convenience including electric oven with hob microwave fridge/freezer washing machine coffee maker and a dishwasher so you don t even need to make the coffee or do the dishes at the end of the evening. Off the hallway you will find a shower room with shower wash basin and WC. Heading up the staircase to the first floor you come to a small landing leading to a double bedroom and a twin bedroom both with stunning views from the window. Outside you will find a beautiful walled country garden with furniture for basking in the sunshine while enjoying your tranquil rural surroundings. This truly is a peace of paradise.
