We do have strict guidelines for dog owners and they very rarely present a problem. We do ask all dog owners to adhere to these guidelines (failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave without compensation).

- Dogs must be under strict control at all times while on the property.
- Any fouling of lawns etc. must be cleaned up without delay.
- The owner must bring the dog?s bed or basket for sleeping in.
- Dogs must not be left alone in the property.
- Dogs must not lie on beds or chairs, and hair must be cleared up before departing.

About the property STUNNING LOCATION IN THE BLACK MOUNTAINS AND BRECON BEACONS 20% OFF FOR COUPLES BOOKING OUT OF SCHOOL HOLIDAYS AND ONLY USING ONE BEDROOM The cottage with cruck oak beams is remote and it dates back to the 16th century however it has been restored with 21st century style and gadgetry added to make it the perfect hideaway yet still retaining character and has acres of gardens and fields as well as a private waterfall. Set just beneath Lord Hereford s Knob and Hay Bluff in the Black Mountains (part of the Brecon Beacons National Park) you can stride pedal or ride out across some of the country s most beautiful terrain right from the doorstep. Things to do include rock climbing abseiling gorge walking rafting archery caving and Tregoyd riding stables and outdoor activity centre which is just at the foot of the mountain lane with great trails across the hills to explore on. Not forgetting Wye Valley with its canoeing shooting river and lake fishing which is near Hay on Wye home of the famous Hay Festival with 30 bookshops cafes and shops. Leisure facilities: wood-fired private hot tub. Games facilities: pool table in the lounge. The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 king-size with additional single bed and en-suite bathroom with hand-held shower over bath and WC. On the ground floor 1 double and 1 double with additional single bed. Bathroom: with bath separate shower and WC on the ground floor. Lounge: with open-fire (logs included) TV DVD iPod dock table tennis and pool table. Second lounge/diner: with open-fire (logs included). Kitchen: with Aga gas hob fridge freezer and dishwasher. Utility room: with washing machine. Outside: enclosed garden and patio area with garden furniture. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen towels electric under-floor heating central heating and Wi-Fi included. No smoking please. 2 dogs welcome. Additional info: 300 security deposit required. Please note lane can be quite bumpy so be careful if you have a low car. Arrival: 4pm Need to know SLEEPS 6 2: Three bedrooms: a large king-size en-suite master bedroom with additional single bed. A downstairs triple bedroom and a ground floor double bedroom. Cotton bedlinen down duvets and fluffy towels included. BATHING: Apart from the waterfall to be found in the garden for a bracing splash (!)...there are two bathrooms an en-suite with roll top bath basin and loo by the master bedroom and a ground floor bathroom with separate shower serving the other two bedrooms. Towels included. Hairdryer available. RELAXING: There are two drawing rooms both with open fires cosy sofas and lovely views. Gadget wise there is wi-fi a television DVD and the ability to play an iPod through the house sound system. Logs provided. If you re looking for something more sporty to indulge in maybe table tennis will help awaken the competitive spirit. DINING : Large oak table seating eight to be found in the old room there is also an informal kitchen breakfast table. COOKING: Handmade and painted farmhouse self catering kitchen with an electric two oven Aga four ring gas hob fridge freezer dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine tumble dryer lots of storage. KEEPING WARM : Roaring fireplaces with baskets of logs central and under-floor and central heating throughout. PETS: Lovely dogs are welcome not on sofas please! HOT TUB: There is a wood fired private hot tub included in the price. ACCESS: This cottage is gloriously remote. It has ample parking but very low sports cars beware the track can be quite bumpy. It can also be hard to navigate in snow although a past owner had no problems getting his Lotus along the track each day! BEDDING: Bedding is provided for six guests should you require bedding for the two additional single beds please add this in the comments section of your booking just so the housekeeper knows. There is no extra charge for up to eight guests at the house. SECURITY DEPOSIT: There is a 300 security deposit fully refundable upon safe return of the property managed by Sugar and Loaf.
