We do have strict guidelines for dog owners and they very rarely present a problem. We do ask all dog owners to adhere to these guidelines (failure to do so may result in you being asked to leave without compensation).

- Dogs must be under strict control at all times while on the property.
- Any fouling of lawns etc. must be cleaned up without delay.
- The owner must bring the dog?s bed or basket for sleeping in.
- Dogs must not be left alone in the property.
- Dogs must not lie on beds or chairs, and hair must be cleared up before departing.

You will be able to stroll to the sand dune beach on the River Torridge which is popular with bathers and sand castle makers as well as the adjacent village shop yacht club pubs and very well known restaurants. The Tarka Trail can be accessed in less than 1 minute and is perfect for walkers with some lovely riverside views along the former railway line. Venture further afield and explore the many attractions North Devon has to offer including a range of surfing beaches Tapeley Park The Big Sheep National Trust Arlington Court The Oldenburg for day trips to Lundy Island and much more. In the evenings relax in the pleasant garden or enjoy village hospitality in the local pub. Seasonally take the passenger ferry across to the historic fishing village of Appledore which also offers a range of good pubs and restaurants.
