We have six Suffolk Barns sleeping two, and a 500 year old thatched farmhouse that sleeps seven. Three of our barns have luxurious private Hot Tubs. They are Deben, Gipping and Orwell Barns. The great thing about The Granary Barn is that it is our original 300 year old converted Grain Barn with all the original features in tact, as well as having the largest garden of all our barns so is ideal for bigger or more energetic dogs
All of our cottages have the VisitEngland Gold Award and we have well over 150 Five Star Tripadvisor reviews! All seven of our cottages are Dog-Friendly with fully enclosed gardens. You enter The Granary Barn through a stable door into an open lounge/ diner with a farmhouse galley kitchen, which also has a door leading to the huge enlcosed garden. In the finer weather you can open up the stable door for a lovely airy start to the day. The flooring on the ground floor is beautifully opulent natural slate The fully equipped kitchen is well laid out with ample work surface, fitted cooker with ceramic hob , belfast sink, microwave and fridge, kettle and four slice toaster. The Granary also features a fabulous Nespresso coffee machine with coffee capsules, adding that little extra luxurious touch in your holiday cottage
The living area features an old circular painted dining table, big comfy, squishy sofa and a lovely old armchair, cosy log burning fire, TV/DVD/CD player and ipod docking station with DAB digital radio.
The Granary has exposed oak beams through and beautiful, winding, hand-made timber staircase that leads up to a the breath-taking bedroom with its triangular oak feature window wall with stunning views across the farmland opposite. The bedroom has an iron ‘bedknobs & broomsticks’ style bed (please be aware though that it doesn’t take off!) and handmade chandeliers from a local forge. The iron wall lights throught are all made by the same forge.
There is a well organised en-suite shower room with a powerful fixed rose ‘watering can’ style shower, loo and hand basin with luxury hand soap.
Because of the enclosed garden and slate floor, we are happy to accept pets in all our barn holiday cottages. We normally accept up to three dogs. We even leave a dog treat as well as a delicious local breakfast basket for the humans! Outside you have a huge, fully enclosed private garden laid mainly to lawn, with a patio and BBQ with table and chairs for Al Fresco dining.
There is ample off road parking in front of the Granary.
All our luxuriously appointed barns vary in price according to size, position, equipment etc so represent great value, as well as having something to suit everyones taste and budget!
The Granary is very definitely our premier barn.
The other barns nestle into the mature trees adjacent to the Granary, around the pond and water feature to create a peaceful little environment to relax in and there is also lovely communal decked area overlooking the pond for when you feel sociable or just want to enjoy the sunset.
The Granary Barn is down a pretty country lane just outside the little Suffolk village of Stonham Aspal. There are lovely walks and cycling straight from the Barns and the pretty Suffolk Coast is just 30 minutes away. Bikes are also available FREE of charge! You enter The Granary Barn through a stable door into an open lounge/ diner with a farmhouse galley kitchen, which also has a door leading to the huge enlcosed garden.
