Steve and Sarah welcome you to Little Gwendreath Holiday Cottages. We live as residents at Gwendreath and will be pleased to help you with our local knowledge of the area, any information on places to visit, sights to see or recommend restaurants and bars. The holiday properties are situated at Gwendreath on the popular Lizard peninsula in the Southwest of Cornwall, just 10 miles from the historic market town of Helston, famous for its floral dance and 4 miles from the Lizard point the most southerly location of mainland Britain. The cottages are situated in a peaceful location, adjacent to the Gwendreath Valley English Nature Reserve. Each have two bedrooms and comfortably sleep four persons. There is free wifi and linen, towels and electricity are provided and the beds are made up ready for your arrival. A high chair and cot are available. The lounge is comfortably furnished, including free view television, DVD etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, cooker and microwave, etc. Each has its own small private garden with seating. A laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer is also available on site for the guests use. From Little Gwendreath take the short Elm Valley Walk following the stream to Kennack Sands, which offers safe bathing, surfing, rock pooling and the South West Coastal Path, the beach is also accessible by car, with the east beach being open all year for dogs. Nearby are the beautiful fishing villages of Cadgwith and Coverack. We are open all year. Out of season we offer short breaks with flexible start dates, please see our web site www.littlegwendreath.co.uk. The Lizard Peninsula Cornwall is the most southerly part of the British mainland. It's a unique landscape of extensive heathlands, cliffs, woodland, creeks and sandy beaches. The mild climate and unusual geology landscape have created an area of outstanding nature conservation interest. Over 250 species of national or international importance are found here, many of which are restricted to the region. In the clean water surrounding the Peninsula, seals, dolphins and plankton-eating basking sharks can often be seen.
